Unlocking Secrets of the Cemetery In-Person

Cemeteries have a special language, spoken through the symbols carved on tombstones. Using photographs from cemeteries across the country, this program demystifies the symbolism and explains the origins of the “rural cemetery movement” in the mid-19th century. Guest speaker, Kim Kenney is the executive director at the McKinley Presidential Library in Canton and will explore the secrets of a cemetery. This free program, "Unlocking Secrets of the Cemetery" will be held on October 13th @ 6:30pm in the Local History Center's Harmon Room. This is a free program, open to all.
