Kids who participate in our Lit with Libby book club get to partake in regularly-schedule extra activities which vary between getting to attend a showing of associated movies at the Bryan Movie Theater, doing an escape room at the library and much more!  See the list below for more details:

January 25, 2025 -- Greenglass House Escape Room @ the Library

February 22, 2025 -- Kiki's Delivery Service movie @ the Bryan Movie Theater

March 28, 2025 -- Enola Holmes movie and activity @ the Library

April 26, 2025 -- Mary Poppins @ the Bryan Movie Theater

All activities will take place starting at 10 AM unless there are other necessary arrangements, which will be made via email to parents.  In order to participate in the extra activities, kids must have attended no less than half of the reading sessions for the associated book.  For instance, we are scheduled to spend 4 meetings on Mary Poppins; in order to attend the movie, kids must have been present at at least 2 of those meetings.

In case of cancellation or postponement (usually due to inclement weather) parents will receive an email from the library.  All children are required to have an adult come with them to the movies, and each child may bring up to 2 adult guests; if it becomes necessary that a child should attend without an adult or if siblings or other dependents may need to attend so that the child in book club can attend, please reach out to our Youth Services Librarian, Libby, by phone or email.  Children are not permitted to make these arrangements themselves.
